| Accessibility | : The area is accessible by land and water through various entry points starting from the municipalities that encompassed the area. From Awang Airport to Cotabato City or Davao City Airport, the most conveninet entry point is through the Pikit-Pagalungan side of the Marsh. |
Majority of the inhabitants within the marsh are Maguindanaon Muslims.
During the period of heavy rains, when the water level is high, most of
them migrate to neighboring areas in search for alternative livelihood
such as upland farming, etc.
